Use Case: The Brand Voice Guardian (Works with Slack)

Check every draft against your brand voice before it goes out.

🔌 Works best with Slack. Connect it and your team can check a draft against your voice right in Slack. Nothing to connect to try the sample.

A worker that checks every draft before it goes out.

You'll see the worker built, the voice guide pasted in, and the three drafts checked.

What this use case does and who it's for

You build one reusable worker. It holds your voice guide. Anyone on your team pastes a draft, and the worker answers PASS, FIX or BLOCK. It quotes the exact words that broke a rule and gives you a shorter rewrite. You can paste several drafts at once.

It's for agency owners and info-business founders with a team. Think VAs, freelancers, setters and junior copywriters who keep sending off-brand or risky copy. You stop being the last pair of eyes.

It also flags the two things that get ad accounts and reputations in trouble: guarantees and invented proof.

What you need before you start

  • A Jeremy AI account.

  • Your voice guide, written as numbered rules. The sample has 8.

  • A few drafts to test it with: an email, a caption, a DM.

  • About a minute to build the worker.

You don't need integrations, triggers or skills to try the sample. This worker only reviews. It never sends or posts anything.

How to set it up

This is the one use case where you build a worker instead of using the default Jeremy AI worker.

  1. Go to Workers, then click Create worker.

  2. Choose Configure Manually. It lands on the Triggers tab. Leave that alone.

  3. Click the worker's title, then Edit Worker.

  4. Name it. The sample uses "SAMPLE Voice Guardian." Name yours "Voice Guardian."

  5. Click Save Changes.

  6. Open Instructions. Click the pencil next to System Prompt, then Edit.

  7. Paste the worker instructions below, with your own voice guide.

  8. Click Save Changes.

  9. Click Start Chat.

  10. Paste your drafts and send. Read the verdict blocks.

The worker instructions

This is the revised version from the walkthrough. The agency in it is SAMPLE and made up. Replace the voice guide with your own rules. Keep the output format.

You are SAMPLE Voice Guardian, the brand-voice checker for SAMPLE Northline Media (made-up agency; no real company). Staff and freelancers paste a draft (email, caption, DM, ad copy). You check it against the voice guide below and return a verdict. You never send, post or message anything. You only review and rewrite.
VOICE GUIDE (SAMPLE)
1. We sound like a smart friend who has done it before: plain words, short sentences, 6th-grade reading level.
2. Lead with the reader's result or problem, never with us. No "We are excited to announce".
3. Specifics beat adjectives. A number, a date or a named step beats "amazing", "powerful" or "game-changing".
4. Banned words and phrases: leverage, synergy, unlock, game-changer, revolutionary, cutting-edge, "I hope this email finds you well", "circle back", "touch base", "guru", "secret".
5. No guarantees about money or results. Say "can", "usually" or "in our experience", and only when a number is supplied.
6. One call to action per message, written as a plain instruction ("Reply with the word PLAN").
7. Keep emoji, ALL CAPS words and exclamation marks to a minimum.
8. Never invent proof. Testimonials, results and numbers must come from the draft itself; otherwise flag with [needs proof]. Claims like "a lot of our clients made six figures", "clients love it" or "thousands helped" with no named source or number are invented proof, so always list rule 8 and the quoted words, and the verdict is BLOCK.
OUTPUT FORMAT (exactly this for EACH draft, in order):
DRAFT <n>: <PASS | FIX | BLOCK>
SCORE: <0-10>
BROKEN RULES: <rule numbers and the exact offending words in quotes, or "none">
REWRITE: <the corrected draft in our voice, or "no changes needed">
WHY: <one line, max 20 words>
BLOCK = a rule 5 or rule 8 violation (money/result guarantee or invented proof). FIX = other violations. PASS = score 8+ and no broken rules.
Keep rewrites the same length or shorter than the original. Do not add facts. If a needed fact is missing, put it in [brackets].

The drafts to check

Paste this into the worker's chat. These three drafts are SAMPLE text.

Check these 3 SAMPLE drafts against the voice guide.
DRAFT 1 (email subject + body, from a new freelancer):
Subject: UNLOCK Game-Changing Growth For Your Brand!!!
Hi there, I hope this email finds you well. We are excited to announce our revolutionary new ad system that will leverage synergy to guarantee you 10x ROAS in 30 days. Don't miss the secret that gurus won't tell you! Let's circle back and touch base on Thursday!
DRAFT 2 (Instagram caption, from the social VA):
Most coaches post every day and still get 0 calls. Last week we changed one thing in a client's bio, the link and the first line of the pinned post. Their booked calls went from 3 to 7 in 7 days. Want the checklist? Comment CHECKLIST.
DRAFT 3 (DM, from a junior setter):
Hey Sam! Thanks for the follow. We help coaches get way more clients and a lot of our clients have made six figures with us. Wanna hop on a call this week? Or I can send our pricing, or you can check our site, whichever works.

Prompting tips and how to adapt it

  • Write rules a stranger could apply. "Plain words, short sentences" works. "Sound great" doesn't.

  • Name your banned words. Quote them exactly. That's how the worker catches them.

  • Say what counts as a BLOCK. In the sample, it's a money or result guarantee, or invented proof.

  • Keep the fixed output format. It means every verdict looks the same, so your team learns to read it fast.

  • Spell out invented proof. The revised version lists examples, like "a lot of our clients made six figures." That made it catch them every time.

  • Cap the rewrites. The rule "same length or shorter" keeps rewrites tight.

  • Use your real guide. Swap in your own tone rules, banned words and one-call-to-action rule.

The result to expect

You get one block per draft, in this fixed format: the verdict, a score out of 10, the broken rules with the exact words quoted, a rewrite and a one-line reason.

With the sample drafts:

  • Draft 1 is a BLOCK. It has buzzwords, a "10x ROAS in 30 days" guarantee, an excited-to-announce opener and shouty punctuation.

  • Draft 2 passes. It's specific and has one call to action. The proof in it comes from the draft itself.

  • Draft 3 is a BLOCK. "A lot of our clients have made six figures" is invented proof. It also has three calls to action and vague wording.

The video shows the build and the check in about 1 minute 5 seconds.

The drafts and the voice guide are sample data.

Common mistakes and fixes

  • A bad draft passed. Send it again. Then tighten the rule that should have caught it, and list examples.

  • Invented proof slipped through. Add the exact phrases you want caught to the rule, like the revised version does.

  • The worker rewrote with new facts. Keep the line "Do not add facts. Put missing facts in [brackets]."

  • You can't find the instructions box. It's under Instructions, then the System Prompt pencil, then Edit.

  • You forgot to click Save Changes. Click it after naming the worker, and again after pasting the instructions.

  • You expected it to send the fixed copy. It only reviews and rewrites. You send it.
