Seeing an error like "Token rejected", "Ad account not reachable" or "ads_read permission not granted"? Those messages come from Meta. The good news: JeremyAI can show you exactly what's missing.

Step 1: Run Verify

  1. Open Integrations and find your Meta Ads connection.

  2. Click Verify.

  3. Read the report. It shows whether Meta accepted your token, which ad accounts it can see, and which permissions (scopes) your token has.

Step 2: Fix what the report shows

  • Token rejected: the token is wrong, expired, or was revoked. Create a new Meta system-user token and add it again.

  • Ad account not listed or not reachable: in Meta Business Settings, make sure the system user is in the same business portfolio as the ad account, and that the ad account is assigned to that system user.

  • Missing permissions: generate a new token and tick these: ads_read, ads_management, business_management, pages_show_list, pages_read_engagement, pages_manage_ads, catalog_management.

Step 3: Add the new token

  1. In Integrations, go to Meta Ads and click Add Connection.

  2. Fill in Connection name, paste the Access token, and add your ad account ID (for example act_1234567890).

  3. Tick Set as default Meta Ads connection.

  4. Click Verify, then Save connection.

Step 4: Delete the old connection

Adding a new token does not replace the old one. Once the new connection is saved, click Delete on the old connection and confirm. Do this last: anything still using a deleted connection stops working until it has a replacement.

Check it worked

Ask JeremyAI:

  • Pull my Meta ad spend and results for the last 7 days.

  • List my active Meta campaigns.

You're done when Verify shows your ad account and permissions, and JeremyAI returns your campaigns instead of an error.

Still stuck?

Message us in chat with the error text from the Verify report. Never paste your token.
