Connect Jeremy AI to Slack

Add Jeremy AI to your Slack workspace, link your account, and chat with it in any channel — full setup steps and a video walkthrough.

You don't have to open the dashboard every time you want Jeremy AI's help. Connect it to Slack once, and your whole team can ask it questions right where the conversation is already happening — and it answers in a thread, with the same memory you see on the web. Setup takes about three minutes.

Watch the walkthrough

The video shows the full flow in just over two minutes: connecting Slack from Settings → Channels, setting Jeremy AI as the default worker, and linking your account right inside Slack. If the player doesn't load, watch it here.

Before you start

  • An account on your instance's web app (for example https://jeremy.utari.ai), signed in.

  • Permission to install apps in your Slack workspace (or a workspace admin nearby who can approve it).

  • The email address you signed up with — Jeremy AI uses it to link your Slack identity to your account.

Step 1 — Log in to your dashboard

  1. Go to jeremy.utari.ai.

  2. Enter your email address.

  3. Enter the 6-digit code sent to your email.

Step 2 — Connect Jeremy AI to Slack

  1. Open Settings (gear icon) and go to the Channels tab.

  2. Find the Slack section and click Add to Slack.

  3. In the Slack authorization window, select your workspace and click Allow. You're granting two permissions: Jeremy AI can post messages and read the channels it's invited to — nothing else.

  4. Back on the Channels page, the Slack section now shows Connected with an Enabled toggle.

  5. Under Default worker, open the dropdown and select Jeremy AI.

If Slack was already connected previously, you can skip this step.

Step 3 — Chat with Jeremy AI inside Slack

  1. Open your Slack workspace and go to a channel — a dedicated one like #ask-jeremy works great. Use a channel, not a direct message with the bot.

  2. Mention the bot with a real question, for example: @Jeremy AI what should we fix first in onboarding to lift activation? If the bot isn't in the channel yet, Slack will offer to invite it — confirm, and you'll see "Jeremy AI was added to the channel."

  3. The first time you mention it, Jeremy AI replies in a thread: "Welcome! To get started, please reply with the email address you used to sign up."

  4. Reply in that thread, mentioning the bot with your sign-up email — for example: @Jeremy AI [email protected].

  5. You'll see the confirmation: "Linked! Welcome. Your Slack account is now connected." — and Jeremy AI then answers your original question right there in the thread.

Linking is one-time per person. From then on, just mention @Jeremy AI in any channel it's in and it responds as you — same memory, same conversations as the web.

Tips for using Jeremy AI in Slack

  • Always mention it. Jeremy AI only responds when you tag @Jeremy AI in your message.

  • Work in threads. Jeremy AI answers in a thread, and replies there continue the same conversation with full context.

  • Give it a home. A dedicated channel like #ask-jeremy keeps questions and answers easy to find — but you can add it to any channel where the work happens.

  • Everyone links their own account. Each teammate who mentions Jeremy AI for the first time will be asked for their own sign-up email.

Troubleshooting

  • Jeremy AI doesn't respond to mentions — make sure it's been added to the channel and that you're mentioning it in a channel, not a DM.

  • "Add to Slack" fails or asks for approval — your Slack workspace may restrict app installs; ask a workspace admin to approve the Jeremy AI app.

  • The linking step doesn't recognize your email — reply in the thread mentioning the bot with just your email (@Jeremy AI [email protected]), and use the exact email you signed up with.

  • Slack shows Connected but nothing responds — check that the Slack channel is Enabled in Settings → Channels and that a Default worker (Jeremy AI) is selected.
